SUMMARY

The EMS 911 Communications Training Manager, reporting to the VP/Dean of Education coordinates all aspects of the 911 Communication Center’s International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) initial education certification program, continuing education, and new hire orientation programs. In conjunction with industry and national accreditation standards, this position develops, organizes, and delivers training programs, classes, and orientation leading to initial EMD certification or re-certification EMD hours. In addition, this position coordinates with the quality assurance team to establish training for identified deficiencies and works with operational leadership to coordinate the oversight of new employees and their schedules and current employees who are involved in a training or performance improvement process. The manager is responsible for the departmental medical review and protocol exams and will help coordinate the IAED Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) process.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate or GED

5 or more years of job related experience including Paramedic experience

Advanced Cardiac Life Support  (ACLS) required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Paramedic License required.

EMD Instructor Certification required.

ETC Instructor Certification required.

EMD-Q Instructor Certification required.

AHA BLS Instructor Certification required.
