If you didnt' attend NAVIGATOR 2017 then you won’t want to miss the May/June issue of the Journal. Take a virtual tour of NAVIGATOR 2017 through the eyes of Journal staff and Emergency Dispatchers from around the world—available in print and on the Journal website (https://iaedjournal.org). This year’s conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, builds on past performances with more ways to learn about protocol, the Emergency Dispatch profession, research, and the perspective from more than a century’s worth of combined expertise. Popular kid on the block Ricardo Martinez, of “Within the Trenches Podcast (WTTP),” will make his NAVIGATOR debut as a speaker and, if you’re not there to hear him, you can listen to his recorded podcast available on WTTP. The May/June Journal also highlights advances in cellphone apps relative to the communication center and provides the opportunity to earn continuing dispatch education credit through two related CDEs involving potential mental health issues.
